Her portraits will stare you down, or they will avoid your gaze, but they will never apologise for their nature. 

Emily Veale is the next talented artist exhibiting at The Owl and Pussycat Gallery in Richmond. For one week only – from the 1st until the 7th of May.

Emily says that the ‘dark moments’ of our personalities are not there to be poison to the soul, but are there to give to give it life and dimension, “they deserve as much exploration as the good”.
And so, she draws and paints them…
