May 22nd-June 5th

Opening 6pm May 22nd

Mitch Walder is embarking on a journey that will give his imaginative characters an opportunity to show off their qualities outside the sketchbook in his new show ‘Character.’
Exhibiting at The Owl and Pussycat Gallery in Richmond, from the 22nd of May to the 5th of June, ‘Character’ will find you searching for a meaning and smiling in the process.
The exhibition has a bright and comic feel portraying diverse characters and figures, all linked in by Walder’s distinctive cartoon style. His works are a combination of acrylic painting on MDF and canvas board.

Since as long as he can remember Walder has been drawing cartoons. “A pen and a piece of paper is all that is needed to construct his imaginative view on the world.”

Walder has recently undertaken work placement at The Age newspaper and subsequently had his works published within The Saturday Age.
